Fiber optic attenuator is a passive device used to reduce the amplitude of a light signal without significantly changing the wave form itself. This is often a requirement in Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Erbium Doped Fiber where the receiver cannot accept the signal generated from a high-power light source.
2. Fiber Optical Attenuator Features:
1. Design flexibility with various connector style choices and with various attenuation levels
2. Excellent optical performance
3. Variety of fixed attenuation levels.1 to 16 db(in 1db increments),20,25,and 30 db
4. Low reflecation to meet stringent system tequirements
5. Backward compatible with existing transmission equipment
3. Fiber Optical Attenuator Applications:
2. Dense Wave Division Multiplexers (DWDM)
